The chief minister laid the foundation stones for a Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Duigailong village, a 132 KV power substation at Rengpang village and for the Tenkojang higher secondary school building, a primary health centre and a 33 KV power sub-station, at Noney, all in Tamenglong district.

CANACONA STUDENTS TO REPRESENT INDIA: Mallika Desai and Suvrata Desai, both
Std XI students of Jawahar Navodaya, Canacona, will represent India in the
Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, to be conducted from May 8
to May 1 4 at Phoenix-Arizona, USA. After both of them recently
devised a unique concept of manufacturing pesticides from spices, they were
invited to showcase their talent and stage a demonstration at the exhibition
on science that was conducted at Worli-Mumbai.
